Don't let unforgiveness steal your joy! If you want to keep your joy, we have to live and walk in forgiveness. The Bible says, to forgive and walk in love as He has forgiven us. The last commandment Jesus gave was to walk in love toward our fellow man. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have joy and peace in my heart than to hang on to unforgiveness! It's just not worth it! It can cause all kinds of problems in our lives! Sickness and a root of bitterness and will stop our prayers from reaching the throne of God! It's an act of our will! It's something you and I choose to do whether our feelings say so or not! We have to choose to let go of unforgiveness, anger, hurt, disappointments, etc.
Satan's number one weapon to use against us is, unforgiveness. He will try to bring or create circumstances in our lives to cause us to become bitter, hateful, unforgiving, not walking in love toward our Christian brother and sisters, or our fellow man.
That doesn't mean God wants you to be walked on and physical abused or that you are supposed to live that way, but there comes a time when we must forgive all that have hurt or abused us, if we want to have joy in our hearts and in our soul. Sometimes, we can't do it in our own strength, but with the help of the Lord, we can MAKE a CHOICE to forgive others that have offended us or hurt us. It's between you and God. You don't have to confront that person or persons, just pray to the Lord, and ask His forgiveness, and allow Him to bring healing and restoration into your life.
I come before your throne today, asking you to forgive me, and help me to forgive all those that have hurt me or offended me in any way. I choose this day, to let go of all unforgiveness and hurt and allow you to bring healing and restoration into my life. I choose to let go of all past hurts, and forgive everyone that has hurt me from my past to my present. I choose this day to forgive and let it go and allow you to bring peace, healing, joy and restoration in my heart and soul. Help me to forgive and to forget! I can't do it in my own strength, but I make a quality decision before you and Heaven today, to walk in love. Thank you for healing me! Thank you for your love, mercy and grace in my life! Thank you for a new beginning!
Mark 11:25 & 26, And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
