You know there were times in my own life, I had asked God to forgive me for things I had done and regretted. God says in His Word, that once we repent, He forgives us. Our enemy will try to make us feel condemned but God's Word says, I will remember your sins no more! Sometimes we have to forgive ourselves. We can't go back and change the past but we can move forward by His love, mercy and grace. If you have asked God's forgiveness and repented and you can't seem to get past it, maybe you need to pray and forgive yourself. He has already forgiven us, all we have to do accept all He has already done. Where would we be if it wasn't for God and His amazing love for us (His creation)? He sent Jesus, His only begotten Son to take our place. Our enemy on the other hand will bring to your remembrance your past, try to make you feel condemned, ashamed, depressed and guilty. Yes, and even now there are times when things happen, it may not have been in your past. When you have to ask others to forgive you, and you may have to forgive yourself! Don't let the enemy keep you in bondage. Repent, ask God to forgive you, forgive others and make a decision to also forgive yourself!
I ask you to forgive me for all the wrong I've done in my life.I choose to let go of the past. I also, choose to forgive others who have hurt and caused me harm, either in word or deed. I also, choose this day to forgive myself. Thank you for your forgiveness. Thank you for setting me free! Thank you for your mercy, grace and love. Come into my life and touch my soul, and bring healing and restoration. Heal my wounded soul.
In Jesus Name, I pray, Amen
I John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
